Case:spindle can't on,delta inverter show alarm:OC(Constant speed overcurrent)
1.machine information:
- Power:380V3phase
- Control system:siemens
- inverter:delta B
- Spindle:HSD 9KW 380V (old version)
- usage time:three years
2. After sales process
- 2.1 customer said spindle can't on,alarm information as follows,

Inverter alarm information:OC(Constant speed overcurrent)

GFF(Short circuit to ground)

Panel error400003
- 2.2 We need know the machine information,see the nameplate,know motor model,also make some basic test(power supply,connection)


power supply is ok.
- 2.3 Customer feedback:i turned on spindle and heard a cracking noise.
Machine is already use three years.
- 2.4 Introduce customer use manual to troubleshooting,also spindle.
- 2.5 Customer use multimeter measure result as follows.

Spindle insulation failure, ground fault

Determine that the spindle winding has been damaged.
The spindle power line is short-circuited, guiding the customer to find a short-circuited position, such as a joint weld.
- 2.6 Search short circuit specific location


There is no abnormality in the weld. Judge the internal short circuit
- 2.7 Exclude inverter damaged



Remove the power output line,start spindle.inverter work normal→inverter not damaged.

Change power output line,maintain or change spindle
